Differential Air Shaft Design Options
Differential Winding is recommended when winding multiple cores on one shaft (SIMPLEX) or two shafts (DUPLEX). The clever clutching adjustments of the Differential shaft allows tension to equalize from one slit roll to the next on the same shaft. Each individual rewind roll is completely isolated from all others.
Goldenrod offers two Differential shaft designs: the patented core clutch Model 1250 DFX/DFB for best beam strength and the locked core internal clutch Model 1250 CL. The 1250 DFX/DFB offers core stop bearings, quick-change trays, and drag preventing needle bearings on larger diameters. Goldenrod's second Differential shaft design is the 1250 CL Cam Lock style with improved ball-lock design and pin style rings. The 1250 CL is offered with two tension materials: felt and “lubrication free” polizene.
